Strength In Community
Do you believe in community building?
If you do, it’s great. It means that you appreciate the value of collaboration, camaraderie, and cooperation. It indeed feels good when you accomplish something.
Let’s say, for example, you win a singles tennis match. Maybe not just a game, but a grand slam event. If you’re the type to share the glory, I’m sure you thank your coach, tennis sparring partner, health & wellness team, even your family and friends. But you know, and the rest of the world know that you did it alone. You deserve the glory. As much as you want to share the credit, you alone deserve praise. Being alone is such a lonely predicament, though.
In contrast, however, the feeling of winning a championship as a part of a basketball, football, baseball, or hockey team is vastly different. The sports team (city or sometimes state) honors the champions by throwing them a big parade celebration. Memories of those events are embedded in the fans’ minds, and especially with the players. Those are the moments that live forever.
We now live in a world where we deal with life’s many uncertainties. We do our best to connect and spend time with our family and friends. Do you remember the time when we weren’t allowed to leave the confines of our homes? The word “quarantine” seems to be a thing of the past, but it’s a deep scar that reminds us of what it feels like to be alone. Some people deleted that word in their vocabulary, and some don’t dare say the word for fear of it returning. Quarantine is like Lord Voldemort.
Let’s just say for the sake of conversation, Lord Voldemort (aka quarantine) comes back to haunt us. What do we do then?
Fret not. Zonzon is here to help. We are a community-based app that encourages building relationships with community members (whether you live in an apartment complex, condo or townhome, or HOA residential community). Connect with your neighbors through the app and discover each other’s likes and dislikes. Develop your rapport virtually and enhance that relationship through in-person activities in your community. Find someone who truly understands the quirks of your favorite TV shows and movies. Heck, you’d never know until you try, right?
We do sometimes need time alone, but as people, we need community. There is, after all, strength in community. Speaking of which, Harry Potter couldn’t possibly survive Hogwarts without Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Dumbledore, and many more.
Why wait? Download the app now, and who knows, you might find your soulmate, or at the very least, a tennis partner who understands the scoring system.
